Mussel farming is regarded as one of the world’s most sustainable methods of food production and the Blue Mussels we farm are a naturally occurring species in the waters of the South Coast of NSW. The lease area of our Mussel farm is 0.4% of the total area of the bay and we’re the only aquaculture operation permitted to operate in the Marine Park. One of the benefits of farming in Jervis Bay is that there is a continual flow of water, which enters the bay on the southern side and flushes out near the seabed on the northern side, resulting in exceptional water quality year round.
