Learn to make your own exotic blends!

Slow Food Berry to Jervis Bay is set to spice up your cooking!
This Saturday workshop, presented by B2JB’s resident herbalist Marilyn O’Dowd, will delve into the fragrances
and flavours of whole and ground spices, journeying across the culinary globe to North Africa, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and China.
Working in small groups, you will learn to create blends distinctive to these cultures to take home.
You’ll discover the properties of each spice – pungency, astringency, sweetness, and more – and learn how to use them.
Drawing on Marilyn’s commercial herb nursery experience, you’ll also gain tips on growing some spices in your own garden.
