Slow Food Berry to JB are holding an educational small group wine tasting and evaluation on Saturday 22nd August 5pm at the Uniting Church Hall, Berry. A COVID Safe Policy will be in place throughout the seated event. The experience will be led by local wine experts Kate Khoury and Gaynor Sims, who owned an award winning winery for twelve years. They have since run many wine evaluation experiences and worked in the education of “Australian Wine Industry” in the Global University Programme.
Slow Food’s wine tasting experience of red and white table wines will include a Sensory Evaluation – participants will learn to describe wines using the Aroma Wheel and discuss regional differences of grape variety and flavour. An individual tasting plate will help participants learn about matching food and wine. Local wines will be used wherever possible and participants will learn how to play the Len Evan’s Wine Option Game – impress your friends at your next dinner party!
Places are limited to a maximum of 20 so be sure to book your place ASAP! If NSW COVID restrictions increase so as to prevent the event in August it will be postponed and ticket refunds will be made available.
